FUNDRAISING & PROJECTS
Lincoln’s Keepers Project

“Being your brother’s and sister’s keeper doesn’t mean you have to be a blood relative, it just means you have to have compassion and empathy for your fellow man. It means you care.”

Inspired by Lincoln Schwartz, a young boy who was diagnosed as an infant with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), Our Community Cares, Inc. has created The Lincoln’s Keepers Project. A play on words, these Lincoln Keepers will hold your coins, dollars, gift cards, etc. while supporting our Pediatric Fund.

Each purchase of these handy little zip pouches sends 100% of proceeds to help our smallest neighbors in need and their families.
You can find them at our public and ticketed events, or by reaching out to us via email or on Facebook.
Currently available in small ($3) and medium ($5) sizes.

As always, we are grateful for donations of any size. Our Pediatric Fund was created after this project was initiated!

Our Community Cares supports local individuals that have been diagnosed with cancer both emotionally and financially.
We assemble our Cancer Care Bags and deliver to treatment centers for Columbia County residents. These bags are filled with personal care items such as lotion, hand sanitizer, lip balm, some activities like word search and coloring books, as well as water bottles and cozy socks! Organizing and distributing these bags allows us to reach some of our neighbors in need of a pick-me-up, and we have heard that receiving the bag is a “wonderful surprise” that almost “feels like Christmas morning!”
We encourage you to make a donation to our Cancer Relief Fund by clicking below, enabling us to continue to help our neighbors and their families as they battle this disease.
